Middle of Nowhere

So every year my family packs up into my mom's minivan and we head down I-74 to Union County. There is nothing to look at but trees, empty fields, stretching roads, crumbling barns, and single-family homes with the highway running through the front yard. However boring most people probably think this drive is, I get a kick out of it. There is a particular part of the drive, going through Anson County, where it is straight ghetto and everything is falling apart. There is a mansion on a hill that looks as if it died many years ago. These dying structures all along the highway always make me want to stop and shoot. Of course it would probably take me 10x the amount of time to get to my destination if I did so. Maybe one day I will be paid to go shoot these old things. Maybe.

These are all right in the backyard of my grandparent's house right on the SC border in Monroe, NC. I have more but these are probably the best looking ones. The others are weak.

Skateboarding photos coming soon...hopefully.
